Celebrating the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

At Redeemer Vietnamese Baptist Church, we hold a special place for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This holy day, observed on August 15th, commemorates the belief that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was assumed body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life.

On this sacred day, we come together as a faith community to honor and reflect upon the role of Mary in our faith tradition. Through vibrant liturgical celebrations, music, and prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Significance of Holy Days of Obligation
