About Denton Bible Church
Denton Bible Church, also known as Redeemer Vietnamese Baptist Church, is a faith community that believes in the power of God's love and grace. We are committed to serving the Denton community and providing a welcoming environment for individuals of all ages.
About Awana
Awana is an international, non-profit organization with a strong presence at Denton Bible Church. Our goal is to support parents and guardians in their efforts to raise children who deeply understand and love Jesus Christ.
At Awana, we offer a variety of programs suitable for different age groups:
1. Sparks
Sparks is designed for children from kindergarten through second grade. Through engaging curriculum and age-appropriate activities, we strive to ignite a passion for God's Word in the hearts of our young ones.
2. T&T (Truth & Training)
T&T caters to third through sixth graders, providing them with a solid biblical foundation and equipping them to face the challenges of the world with faith and conviction.
3. Trek
Trek is our program for middle school students (seventh and eighth graders). Here, we delve deeper into the Bible, encouraging spiritual growth and discipleship among our young teenagers.
4. Journey
Journey is designed for high school students (ninth through twelfth graders). In this program, we focus on equipping our older youth to navigate the complexities of life and strengthen their relationship with God.
Our Volunteers and Events
At Denton Bible Church, we are blessed to have a team of committed volunteers who invest their time and energy into ensuring the success of Awana. Our volunteers are passionate about teaching God's Word, forming meaningful connections with children and youth, and fostering a sense of belonging.
In addition to our regular Awana meetings, we organize various events throughout the year, including:
- Fall Kickoff: A fun-filled gathering to start the Awana year with enthusiasm and excitement.
- Christmas Celebrations: Special programs during the holiday season to commemorate the birth of Jesus and bring the community together.
- Awana Games: An annual event where children and youth engage in friendly competition and showcase their teamwork skills.
- Parent Seminars: Educational sessions that equip parents and guardians with strategies to support their children's spiritual growth.
